Shirataki Udon Noodles are Japanese noodles made from the roots of the konjac plant. This slightly transparent type of noodles may seem a little odd at first glance, but it's perfect to use in almost any noodle dish. The biggest advantage of Shirataki Udon Noodles is that they are very low in calories and therefore perfectly suitable for a calorie-restricted diet. The noodles have very little flavor and so can be flavored nicely with other ingredients in your noodle dish. These noodles are packaged 'ready to use' in a water-filled bag, so you only need to rinse and heat them. It is also available in other variants.
